Best embody Alternatives for Weight Loss in 2026

Looking for alternatives to embody? Compare the top GLP-1 weight loss providers similar to embody - pricing, medical support, medication options, and which one fits your needs.

Why Look for embody Alternatives?

embody is one of the top-rated GLP-1 weight loss providers in 2026, known for its doctor-led approach and affordable pricing. But it may not be available in your state, or you might want different features - like behavioral coaching, brand-name medications, or a lower price point. Here are the best alternatives that offer a similar quality of care.

Most Comprehensive GLP-1 Medication Access

Treatments offered

Compounded semaglutide (GLP-1) injection · Compounded tirzepatide (GLP-1 + GIP) injection · Brand-name Zepbound and Wegovy · One simple injection per week

Starting price

*Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

  • Compounded GLP-1 from $89/mo, GLP-1 + GIP from $149/mo
  • Brand-name options too: Zepbound and Wegovy
  • Clinician-guided - physician, PA, or nurse practitioner
  • Free shipping (about 5-7 days)

from $89/month

altRx bills itself as "the #1 most affordable GLP-1 program," and its published prices largely back that up: compounded GLP-1 (semaglutide) from $89/month and GLP-1 + GIP (tirzepatide) from $149/month - flat at every dose, so the price doesn't climb as you titrate up - alongside one of the few genuine brand-name shelves in this space (Ozempic $1,149, Zepbound $1,249, Wegovy $1,579 per month). It's a self-pay telehealth service: you complete a short assessment, a licensed provider (physician, PA, or nurse practitioner) reviews it, and if appropriate a prescription goes to a licensed US pharmacy, with free shipping in about 5-7 days. No insurance is required, Buy Now, Pay Later is available, and you can pause or cancel anytime. Two things to know before the details: shipping is slower than the 1-2 day providers (embody, DirectMeds), and Trustpilot does not currently display an aggregate score on altRx's profile - the individual reviews we quote on this page are real, but there's no independent average to lean on the way there is for rivals like Medvi (4.3 across 14,836) or embody (3.8 across 8,398). One of the real 4-star reviews we surface notes a refill 'yet to be fulfilled with zero reason as to why' - worth factoring in alongside the price advantage.

embody offers doctor-prescribed GLP-1 weight loss treatment - compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injections - through a 100% online process. Getting started takes a roughly 5-minute health qualifier, after which a medical practitioner reviews your chart (embody says usually within 24 hours, often under 5). Pricing is flat and simple: $69/month for semaglutide and $119/month for tirzepatide, with no insurance required, no hidden fees, and no clinic visits. Medication ships in 1-2 days in temperature-controlled, tracked, insured packaging, and embody is LegitScript-certified and works with US-based 503A compounding pharmacies. On Trustpilot, embody averages 3.8 across 8,398 reviews - an honest, mixed-to-positive record whose recent reviews cluster around two themes: responsive, proactive customer service ('from my very first inquiry I've had excellent communication... customer service updated me every step,' writes one tirzepatide patient) and the no-surprises pricing ('Love the fact that there are no surprises as in costly up front cost'). A 3.7 also means a minority of customers had negative experiences - worth reading both ends of the reviews before deciding, as with any provider.

trimrx is a telehealth GLP-1 program built around custom dosing: compounded semaglutide at $149/month (a $140 discount applied, the same price at every dose) and compounded tirzepatide at $259/month, with the consultation, tracked delivery, and unlimited provider check-ins all included in the price. The flow is the standard cash-pay one - a free 2-minute assessment, review by a qualified doctor (with a telehealth call if more information is needed), then free tracked shipping that often arrives as soon as the next day. On Trustpilot, trimrx averages 3.7 across 5,670 reviews - a genuinely mixed record. The positive end is vivid: 'I have lost 41 lbs... My high blood pressure is gone,' writes one tirzepatide patient, and another praises a rep who was 'very kind and helpful' even as the reviewer ultimately chose their own doctor. But a 3.6 means a meaningful minority report problems, and it's the weakest published average among the affiliate providers in our ranking. Read both ends of its recent reviews before signing up - and weigh the price against the $49-$89 entry tier at wellmedr, embody and altRx.

Shipping delays kill score

“I will give them a 3 for how easy it is to sign up and understandable questions. Also the medical providers are friendly. What keeps this from being a 4-5 is the shipping delay. First dose said 3-5 days and I got it in 8 days. I'm now on my second dose, money taken out of my bank 2 weeks ago and I'm 3 days past my medication taking day. This is 8 days after my new dose was approved by a N.P. that I had a video chat with. I'm sure this will affect the weight loss!!”

Dismal customer support with errors

“Signing up is easy. Provider called, payment was issued and medication was shipped. It was when I was charged for something I did not ever get that things went very sideways. Customer service answers without checking full history, they provided multiple texts and emails, all from different people, all saying something different. I paid for something over two weeks ago that I did not get, and each person I talk to says "no refund policy" (didn't ask for one) or that I already got the medication. So if you want initial service with no ongoing correct follow up, this is the provider for you.”

What Reddit says about embody

Topic: Dose changes / clinician access

Embody is great if you don't need to actually talk to anyone. But if you are okay getting the default and starting from the beginning they are great. I used to get Sema from OrderlyMeds and after 1 year and stalling and feeling not so well I quit, then over 5 months I balooned up 20. So I found embody and their new low price for triz and was okay with starting at the 2.5 (or slightly lower because of the b12).

The med check was quick and I was approved same day, got my vial in just one week. Now 3 weeks in they bumped my dose to 5 (or 4.2) and shipped it out already. When I do the check in they will decide if I stick with 5 or go to 7.5 following month. But yeah if I wanted to get 10 from the start that may not have been possible. Everything is on autopilot, that's how they keep costs low.

Topic: Switching providers / fulfillment

I just switched to Embody from NativeMed. I haven't received my scrip yet but the process has been good so far. I placed my order on Monday, dr approved it Tuesday, it shipped today (Thursday) and scheduled to arrive tomorrow. And they matched my last dosage.

u/dreamy-lover

Hi, do you have an update you can share? I was planning on purchasing, but decided to look on Reddit first. Do they send the vial with liquid already mixed in? Also do they send needles?

r/Reddit·u/Comfortable_Whole343·2mo agoabout embody

Topic: Pricing / refills / support

I started about a month ago and so far so good. I think they revamped their program cause web med is sponsoring them from what I read. $129 for all levels of tri and no contract and I already moved up my dosages with no issues or kick back. They have been very prompt with responses and mail. My promotion also says if I lose nothing or not satisfied that refund is given.

u/ArtisticSalamander16

How do you submit a refill. I just did my third shot and was told to reach out to them for my next fill once I hit the third. My dashboard doesn't show me a message option though or refill request option. So I'm confused.

Topic: Clinical follow-up

“Nurse called me today asking have I taken the shot and if yes have I experienced any symptoms.”

“Arrived the next day from the pharmacy. Packaged nicely with ice packs.”

Three vials at $129 each; the honest catch: about two weeks between approval and the medication actually shipping - transit itself was next-day.

Order sat at the pharmacy for a couple of days - then, after a comment on embody's Facebook post: “they contacted me right away... rushed my order. I had it next day.”

“They just billed for the 2nd month - the amount is correct.” Gripes: the pharmacy premixed an anti-nausea ingredient without asking, and the 50-unit doses were larger than expected.

ro - Best for Brand Recognition and Speed

ro is one of the most established telehealth platforms in the US, with millions of patients served across multiple health categories. Their weight loss program offers fast onboarding, an integrated pharmacy, and access to both compounded and brand-name GLP-1 medications.

If you want a well-known brand with proven infrastructure, ro is a strong alternative. See our embody vs ro comparison.

Noom - Best for Coaching + Medication

Noom is unique in combining CBT-based behavioral coaching with GLP-1 medication access through Noom Med. If you want to address the psychological side of eating - not just suppress appetite - Noom offers something embody doesn't: daily lessons, food logging, personal coaching, and community support alongside medication.

The trade-off is higher monthly cost. See our embody vs Noom comparison.

Shop GLP-1 plans by product

Every provider's published plans - cheapest first, conditions under each price.

What To Know Before Starting GLP-1 Treatment

Before starting GLP-1 treatment, it's important to understand a few key things. These medications require a prescription from a licensed clinician and aren't suitable for everyone. Some people may experience side effects, especially during the first few weeks as the body adjusts.

GLP-1s also tend to work best when combined with basic lifestyle habits like balanced nutrition and regular physical activity.

That's why choosing a provider that offers proper medical screening and ongoing follow-up support is essential for both safety and long-term success.

Found - Best for Holistic Treatment Plans

Found takes a science-first approach, combining prescription medication with personalized health coaching and a broader medication formulary. If you want a provider that digs deeper into why your body responds the way it does, Found offers more comprehensive treatment planning than most alternatives. See our embody vs Found comparison.

trimrx - Best Budget Alternative

If embody's pricing is too high for your budget, trimrx offers GLP-1 medication access at one of the lowest price points in the market. You'll get less personalized care coordination, but the core treatment - physician-prescribed GLP-1 medication with clinical oversight - is comparable. For patients who primarily want affordable medication access, trimrx is hard to beat.

Quick Comparison Table

embody: Doctor-led, dedicated care coordinator, competitive pricing. altRx: Widest medication options, transparent pricing. ro: Established brand, fast onboarding, in-house pharmacy. Noom: Behavioral coaching + medication, higher price. Found: Science-first, holistic treatment plans. trimrx: Most affordable GLP-1 access.

Which Alternative Is Right for You?

The best alternative depends on what matters most to you. For medication variety, choose altRx.

For coaching, choose Noom. For budget, choose trimrx.
