altRx Reviews
Most Comprehensive GLP-1 Medication Access
Last updated: Sep 14, 2026
We may earn a commission from links on this page - it never affects our rankings (how we stay objective).
The bottom line
altRx earns its "most affordable" positioning where it counts: $89/month semaglutide and $149/month tirzepatide, flat at every dose, plus a genuine brand-name shelf (Ozempic $1,149, Zepbound $1,249, Wegovy $1,579) that most compounded-first rivals don't offer, with Buy Now, Pay Later and pause-anytime billing on top. The trade-offs are real but narrow: 5-7 day shipping instead of 1-2, no published Trustpilot average to verify the experience at scale, and refill-delay complaints in some of the reviews we can see.
If price and medication selection are your deciding factors, altRx is one of the strongest offers in our ranking; if shipping speed or a large public review record matters more, weigh it against embody head-to-head before choosing.
altRx products & prices
Published prices with their conditions - the whole card links to the provider.
altRx bills itself as "the #1 most affordable GLP-1 program," and its published prices largely back that up: compounded GLP-1 (semaglutide) from $89/month and GLP-1 + GIP (tirzepatide) from $149/month - flat at every dose, so the price doesn't climb as you titrate up - alongside one of the few genuine brand-name shelves in this space (Ozempic $1,149, Zepbound $1,249, Wegovy $1,579 per month). It's a self-pay telehealth service: you complete a short assessment, a licensed provider (physician, PA, or nurse practitioner) reviews it, and if appropriate a prescription goes to a licensed US pharmacy, with free shipping in about 5-7 days.
No insurance is required, Buy Now, Pay Later is available, and you can pause or cancel anytime. Two things to know before the details: shipping is slower than the 1-2 day providers (embody, DirectMeds), and Trustpilot does not currently display an aggregate score on altRx's profile - the individual reviews we quote on this page are real, but there's no independent average to lean on the way there is for rivals like Medvi (4.3 across 14,836) or embody (3.8 across 8,398).
One of the real 4-star reviews we surface notes a refill 'yet to be fulfilled with zero reason as to why' - worth factoring in alongside the price advantage.
Is altRx legit?
Yes - altRx is a legitimate self-pay telehealth service. A licensed provider (physician, PA, or nurse practitioner) reviews your assessment before any prescription is issued, and medication is filled by a licensed pharmacy.
- Licensed providers review every assessment (physician, PA, or NP)
- Prescriptions filled by licensed pharmacies
- Transparent, flat pricing - no hidden fees, no insurance required
- No long-term contract; pause or cancel anytime
- Buy Now, Pay Later available
“Legitimate” here means a real, licensed telehealth operation - not a guarantee of results. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved brand drugs. Always confirm current details and eligibility with the provider.

TrustpilotBest customer experience I've had in a long while
“I'm just starting out with AltRx and the rep who really, really helped me, Natalie, was so wonderful. She gave me info on the plan and answered all of my questions and concerns. I hope everyone at AltRx is this helpful. Wish me luck. I was able to join the plan with no hassles.”

I am going on 3 months with Altrx
“I am going on 3 months with Altrx and it hasn't been bad. I read these negative reviews and I find it hard to believe that we are all with the same company. They always respond to my messages with in 24 hours. I receive my shipment of tirzepatide with in a couple days after I follow up. Plus they haven't bumped my price it's been $148 since I started. I like Altrx. Plus I've lost 10 pounds. The only side effect I have is being sleepy but it's getting better.”

Would recommend!
“I do not understand how everyone has all of these “negative” reviews. I was skeptical at first due to reading through these but I am very happy with this company. 3 of my other coworkers use them as well and they are happy as well.”

Great company that takes care of my needs
“Great company that takes care of my needs promptly. I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews but I can't help but think they may be coming from another provider. This company is great and takes care of me and my family quickly and they are very customer service oriented. My order came in correct and even after taking a break, was able to use the medication at have at a different dose. They didn't try to sell me another beginner dose. A+”

What Reddit says about altRx
AltRX comes up in GLP-1 forums mostly around its $129 first-month tirzepatide offer and Strive Pharmacy fulfillment - here's how real users describe the sign-up, the shipping and the first shots, praise and caveats alike.
MY ALTRX EXPERIENCE!!
On June 1st I signed up with AltRX for their 1st month offer of $129. I was approved for highest dose of 15mg about 4 hours after filling out the form. I was prescribed Tirzepatide with Glycine & B12. It was sent to Strive Pharmacy the same day (Monday). Yesterday (Tuesday June 2) it shipped with UPS Next Day Air Delivery!! I received it this morning!! It came in a cooler with 4 frozen ice packs. I got 2 30mg vials for a total of 60mg!! The BUD on both is August 9, 2026. I'm so happy with this order!! I wish their monthly price was cheaper!! I give them a 10/10 for sure!!
Awww some strive i love that for you! Glad it went well 💪
I placed an order with AltRX yesterday and got a message this morning saying that a medical provider was assigned. How long has it taken from this point? Still no updates
I signed up June 1st Monday morning at 8am. Monday afternoon about 12:30pm I had a medical provider. Monday around 1-1:30pm my script was sent to the pharmacy. So for me everything took about 5 1/2 hours. My medication shipped out June 2nd Tuesday. It arrived the next day.
Tell me how you like Strive once you try them. I got the same deal from ALTRx! I tried my first shot the previous week and unfortunately for me it dehydrated me so bad even after having electrolytes & caused arthritis type of pains which went away as the medication levels dropped over the week. I was excited about Strive but looks like my body can't do additives! Would love to hear your experience with strive.
The takeaway: The recurring theme is fast, careful fulfillment: sign-up to prescription in hours, cold-chain shipping (a cooler with ice packs on UPS Next Day Air) and a 10/10 from the original poster - with two honest caveats: the compounded additive blend didn't sit well with one user (dehydration, joint pains that eased as levels dropped), and intake timing can vary (a new signup was still waiting on a script a day in). Real, checkable experiences on both sides.
